What is SSC CPO SI Exam - SI/ASI in Delhi Police / CAPF / CISF


What is SSC CPO SI Exam?

SSC CPO (Central Police Organization) SI exam is conducted by Staff Selection Commission to select candidates to be appointed on the post of Sub Inspector (SI) in various organizations like Delhi Police & CAPF i.e. CRPF, CISF, BSF, SSB, ITBP etc.

Let's understand the post of SSC Sub Inspector

  • A sub-inspector (SI) is in command of few police personnel with head constables, the equivalent of corporals, commanding police outposts.
  • He is the lowest ranked officer who can file a charge sheet in court under Indian Police rules and regulations.
  • He is the first investigating officer.
  • Previous year question papers and answer keys of SSC Higher Secondary Level exam.

 
 

SSC CPO Selection Procedure - Complete Details


SSC CPO Selection Procedure

The selection procedure for of the SSC CPO Exam will consists of written examination, physical efficiency test, personality test/interview and medical examination. These four phases can be elaborated as follows: -
A. Written Examination
B. Physical Endurance Test
C. Personality Test/ Interview
D. Medical Examination


A. Written Examination: Written examination is the first phase of the selection. The pattern of the exam has been explained above. Marks gained by the candidates in the written exam will be the basis for the candidates to appear for the second phase that is Physical Endurance Test (PET).


B. Physical Endurance Test: All the candidates who have cleared the written test, have to face the Physical Endurance Test (PET). Candidates shortlisted for PET/Medical Examination on the basis of their performance in Paper-I will only be called for Paper-II. Paper-II of only such candidates who qualify in PST/PET will be evaluated.


C. Personality Test/ Interview: The candidates who qualify in Paper I of written examination, PET and Paper II of written examination will be called for Personality Test/Interview on the basis of their combined performance in Paper-I and Paper-II.


D. Medical Examination: Candidates who qualify the PET will be called for medical examination and medically examined by the Medical Officer of the CAPFs or any other Medical Officer or Assistant Surgeon belonging to Grade I of any Central/State Government hospital/dispensary.

After clearing all the phases, candidates will be appointed for the Post of Sub Inspector by the governing authority.

 
 

SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria - Age Limit, Educational Qualification


SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria

There are some criteria which are set by SSC for the candidates who want to apply for the exam. These criteria should be met by every candidate in order to become eligible to apply for SSC CPO exam.
The eligibility criteria for SSC CPO exam are as follows: -

SSC CPO Nationality


  • (a) A citizen of India or

  • (b) A subject of Nepal or

  • (c) A subject of Bhutan or

  • (d) A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or

  • (e) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar ), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

SSC CPO Educational Qualification



  • The candidate must have at least a Bachelor degree from a recognized University.

  • For Delhi Police SI Post - You must be in a possession of valid Driving License for LMV (Motor cycle and Car) on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Standard Tests.



SSC CPO Age Limit



  • As per the official notification the candidates have to fulfill some age limit criteria too. Candidates should meet the Age Limit criteria as on 1st August 2016.

  • Minimum Age Limit: 20 years

  • Maximum Age Limit: 25 years

  • Note: -Relaxation will be given to SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

SSC CPO Online Application Form, Dates, & Procedure to Apply

Staff Selection Commission has released the SSC CPO Notification 2017 to fill up the vacancies in various security forces for SSC Sub-Inspector post (SI/ASI in Delhi Police / CAPF / CISF, etc.)


Those candidates, who want to apply for the post must fill the SSC CPO Online application by filling both the parts: Part I & Part 2.

SSC CPO Exam 2017 Application form will be released online at the official website www.ssc.nic.in for SSC Delhi Police & CAPF’s SI and CISF ASI Recruitment 2017. The tentative dates of releasing the application forms for SSC CPO 2017 tier 1 exam is 28th January 2017.

Steps to SSC SI Online Apply

  • Visit the official website of Staff Selection Commission: ssc.nic.in
  • First of all you have to complete the "Part I" SSC CPO Registration .
  • Fill all your personal details that are asked to mention.
  • Click on Submit and your Part I registration is completed.
  • After that make "Part II" SSC CPO Registration by using the password and registration ID you get.
  • Make payment either online or offline.
  • The Application for General and OBC Candidates is Rs. 100 and for ST/SC Candidates the application fee is exempted.
  • Take print out of both Part I & Part II registration.

Note:-
1.
Make sure before applying you have all the documents related to your qualifications and personal details.
2. Avoid making mistakes as once you submit the form, you won't be able to make corrections in the form.
3. In case you want to make changes in the details that you have mentioned in the form, you have to fill the form again.
4. You can fill the SSC CPO Online exam form as many times as you want to, but only the last submitted application form will be considered by the official authority.
